Telecommute Position for Active Directory Specialist

Job Title: Active Directory (AD) Engineer

Location: Remote

Mode: Contract (6+ Months)

Rate: $45/hr. on W2 (No Benefits)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience in Active Directory administration and maintenance.
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016 Active Directory.
  • Installation and configuration of Active Directory domain controllers.
  • Configure AD servers as per the installation checklist.
  • Administer and manage DNS, DHCP, PKI, WSUS, FTP, print servers, file shares, and security.
  • Manage, perform, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Proficient in scripting with PowerShell.
  • Preferred experience with AD 2008 functional level and migrating to 2012 functional level.
  • Preferred experience in domain consolidations/migrations.
  • Preferred experience working with Microsoft for ADRAP.
  • Preferred experience with NetIQ product suite (e.g., DRA, Aegis).
  • Experience using a ticket management system for work prioritization and daily workload management.
  • Manage, perform, and troubleshoot TS license service on AD domain controllers.
  • Create or remove trust relationships.
  • Handle AD disaster recovery.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with AD/Clienture AD Connect.
  • Expertise in resolving issues related to Active Directory replication, DFSR, FRS replication, authentication (Kerberos, NTLM), GPOs, directory services disaster recovery, AD certificate services, AD federation services, and configuration issues with applications and other tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills at the system engineer level.
  • Adequate technical knowledge to communicate effectively with business and internal support groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a global team of engineers.
  • Confidence in actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to make system recommendations and provide excellent customer support.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation.

Secondary Skills:

  • Experience supporting different AD tools like ADMT, Quest, etc.
  • Alternative skills.
  • Completed certifications such as MCSE and MCSA.
  • Experience with products like O365, Exchange Online, and Exchange 2010.
